Hubby bought a huge Iberico ham in May but never had the chance to eat it, between his business trips and our holidays, so we planned a party and have invited around forty people around to help devour the thing. We're going to merge it with my birthday, which is on the coming Monday, so I'll be baking a cake and doing some other finger foods as well. Hopefully, I'll get some nice pics from that event.
On to the layout.
Adventure Time
When I saw the travel papers in my My Creative Scrapbook August main kit, I knew I had to use the one airplane selfie that I took on our flight home. Not the best quality photo, but perfect for the papers. I started out with white cardstock for the background so the other bright colours can pop.
When I saw these frames and overlays in the kit, I immediately thought of doing a shaker element. I sandwiched a colourful array of sequins and micro beads in the frame and it is actually light enough on the page that you can shake the whole layout easily.
There is a whole sheet of tickets which you can cut out and they add a little fun to the top right corner. I also used some of the green circular patterned paper from another kit to fill up the background a little.
I added a little glossy accents to the details of the suitcases (a little messy as my nozzle was too big - should have used the precision tip). I also added a glass bevel to the little map and stuck that on top.

School will start back on Monday as well so things will be back to the normal routine. I can't believe Miss C will be going into Year 5! Where has the time gone??
On the up side, hopefully I'll have more time for layouts. I'll also be starting a scrapbook class every Monday afternoon for kids aged 7-11, including Miss C, teaching them all sorts of techniques and fun stuff. That will be fun to do and plan out every week.
Anyway, back to planning the party. See you soon.
