It's A Girl's World

Happy Easter everyone,

I've been a busy bee this holiday weekend. Between assisting a bestie with his Easter classes at his education centre, helping out with a multi-family egg hunt/picnic (thank goodness we are having a small patch of sunshine coming through), a cake order and meeting layout deadlines, I'm pretty much ready for our trip to Las Vegas tomorrow.

Oh, did I mention that yet? Hubby attends an annual convention there in every April, and since it sort of overlapped Miss C's Easter holiday, we decided to join him. We will be coming back after school starts, so she'll be missing four days of that.  I haven't been in nearly ten years, when I was still working with the hubby. Looking forward to showing Miss C the sights and lights of Vegas. She's been to Macau several times, and loves that. Still checking out things to do while over there, but we'll definitely be taking in a Cirque show or two.

So, I mentioned I was busy with layouts as well. I'm on a streak right now and just want to hide away and scrapbook, but alas, it's not to be. Hence, getting these two in before we leave.

The paper collection, My Mind's Eye My Girl line, is full of colour and patterns and cute girly elements, from flowers and butterflies, to bubblegum machines, rollerskates and scooters. So much fun to play with. I plan to do one more layout with my left overs, but haven't had the time yet. Will be doing that after I get back.

Be Happy
I'm in love with this layout. I had a photo of Miss C with one foot propped on a grey wall, so decided to cut her out. I think the bubbles frame her perfectly.
The bubbles were designed and cut out with my eClips, and then backed with different papers from the MME line.
I love the felt embellishments and the wooden little bubble tags, from Studio Calico, that go perfectly with my large bubbles.

Products Used
Patterned papers, felt, stickers, chipboard, brads and enamel embellishments from My Mind's Eye My Girl collection
Wood veneer die-cut pieces from Studio Calico
Pink cardstock from Bazzill

Girls Rock
A simple layout, filled with girl power. Here's Miss C and her friends striking a pose for me. I couldn't get good clear photos of all three. Either one or the other would be out of focus. Oh well, had to scrap them anyway because of their adorableness.
Easy stick elements to jazz up the title.
That polaroid camera is to die for. Super cute.

Products Used
All papers and elements from My Mind's Eye My Girl Collection

The full collection is available at HKMC right now.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter holidays, and see you when we get back.

Thanks for looking,
