Retreat Paper Reveal - Prima Romance Novel

Here's the second line being presented at the retreat. Prima is always a firm favourite with me and the Romance Novel collection is no different. As the name suggests, it features gorgeous roses and type set. It allows me to add flowers and more flowers and to bring out my more girly side.

Celebrating Nine Amazing Years
Lots of distressing around everything to give the whole layout a vintage vibe. I used a little gesso to add some white to the background paper before layering all my matting papers and elements.
I inked and tied some string to the balloon before layering with flowers, clocks and pendants.
I placed my title around the page in different types of fonts and stickers.

Dear Cousin
In this layout, I wanted to tone down the papers and keep the colours more neutral as it also features a boy in the photos. For the background paper, I randomly stuck down strips of sticky-back canvas behind where I envisioned my photos to go. I then used gesso, stencils, stamps and splattering to add dimension to the page.
I change my photos to black/white so I could cut around the children. See those wooden doors. So cool. Adding circles of string help to pop up the photos a little and give them a more 3D look.
Prima has some of the most creative packaging for their products and they design them so you can use them in your layouts, like the banner. I stuck in some clock hands to break up all the flowers.
Don't be afraid to use the back of your photographic subject on your page. Sometimes, that can add to your story.

You Are My Inspiration
Pink is the colour that dominates this layout. I split the rose paper into sections and inked everything with black ink.
The Prima canvas mini alphas are the perfect size when you want to add longer titles.
The canvas flower was hand cut and inked before adding butterflies as a top element. This kept the layout from going into flower overload.
The frame was inked in black before I added Utee for extra dimension. It make a nice bold frame for your photo.
